Energy-efficiency beyond borders

The South African Association for Energy-Efficiency is celebrating its 11th year of existence and continues to drive networking, information dissemination and awareness creation in energy-related matters.

The South African Association for Energy-Efficiency (SAEE) is celebrating its 11th year of existence in 2013. The SAEE is a non-profit energy-efficiency co-ordinating body and a driver of networking, information dissemination and awareness creation, in addition to becoming a body of authority in all matters relating to energy-efficiency and its associated industries.

Operating as a chapter of the US-based Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), the SAEE has access to a source of information within the dynamic field of energy-efficiency, energy engineering and energy management, renewable and alternative energy, power generation, energy services, sustainability and all other related areas of engineering.

With a full array of information outreach awareness programmes, which includes its own radio programme, The Green Hour, the SAEE and AEE offer a variety of information resource tools to live up to its purpose. Additionally, the SAEE also presents annual energy awards to individuals and organisations that excel in the field of energy-efficiency, and has gone the extra mile for the good of the cause.

The board of the SAEE collaboratively boasts 100 years’ experience within the energy engineering and energy-efficiency industry. This clear management and informed direction have equipped industry experts to utilise the available networking and information dissemination platforms successfully.
