“Green business” connects Africa and Asia

The year 2013 will see the fourth annual China Sourcing Fair making its way to South Africa on 7-9 November 2013.

The fourth annual China Sourcing Fair: Solar and Energy-Saving Products in South Africa, will be held at Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg on 7-9 November 2013.

The fair acts as a sourcing platform for global buyers and suppliers. This year’s fair will focus on allowing savvy business-minded individuals to enhance or start sustainable businesses in the booming green energy market. Designed to serve buyers in the region and nearby markets, the fair, which is the biggest of its kind in South Africa, provides a convenient and cost-effective sourcing platform for more global buyers.

China is South Africa’s major source of imports, showing the ever growing demand for Chinese products in sub-Saharan Africa’s fast-growing economy. In 2009, China’s trade with Africa grew with 39,5% in the first seven months alone. The fair is well-timed to address this demand by providing a profitable and accessible venue for buyers in the region and neighbouring markets.

The China Sourcing Fair in Johannesburg brought together thousands of buyers and a big group of Chinese suppliers ready to capitalise on the rising demand for green energy products worldwide. Taking their ingenuity a notch higher, fair exhibitors display their innovations offered at attractive price points and flexible delivery terms. The biggest China-products exhibition in South Africa boasts vetted and approved manufacturers, many of whom supply well-known international brands.

Having the largest collection of suppliers from greater China than any other trade show in Africa, the 2012 show’s three-day run attracted thousands of visitors, including new buyers and high-volume importers.

Many markets in the region are already importing a significant amount of products from China. But in more developing markets here, this trade with China is really just taking off. At the same time, China’s suppliers are quickly adapting to continually shifting product trends, such as these in environmentally-friendly “green” products.

The China Sourcing Fair: Solar and Energy-Saving Products will be open to importers, wholesalers, retailers and buyers in the industry looking for the latest and upcoming products. The fair is strictly for trade and business purposes only, and offers visitors an excellent platform to meet exhibitors face to face and generate numerous business opportunities.

On top of this sourcing convenience, the fair features “behind the brands” suppliers who can provide significant cost savings, professional manufacturing skills and flexible delivery terms.
